Workshop Video Library Offers On-Demand Training

Leaving the office or job site to attend a workshop can be difficult for some Rancho Mesa clients. So, we've provided two easy ways to access the workshop videos on-demand from the video library within the Risk Management Center or through the Workshop Video Request Form.

To view a workshop video on-demand, login to the Risk Management Center, navigate to the Risk Management Library and locate the Rancho Mesa folder. There, you will find the Workshops & Webinar list.
To request a video if you don't have access to the Risk Management Center, go to the Workshop page on the RanchoMesa.com website, scroll down to the “Previous Workshops” section. Click on the “Request a Workshop Video” button, complete the form and we’ll send you a link to view the video.
Requesting a video via the RanchoMesa.com website makes it easy for employees who may not have access to the Risk Management Center to watch valuable training videos, or for prospective clients who want to see the types of resources that are available to clients.

Rancho Mesa Hosts 2018 Employment Law Workshop - Now available On Demand

Rancho Mesa enlisted attorney Alexis S. Gutierrez from the law firm of Higgs Fletcher & Mack to conduct its 2018 Legal Update workshop on Friday, November 17, 2017. The event was held in the firm's building in Downtown San Diego and attracted companies from a variety of industries like construction, human services, landscape and others.

ICW Group Provides OSHA 10 Training

I would like to personally thank you and Rancho Mesa Insurance Services, Inc for coordinating and setting up the construction OSHA 10-hour class, which was conducted at the MAAC Center, located at 1355 Third Avenue, Chula Vista, California 91911. The class was held on October 25 & 26, 2017. We had eight different companies and a total of 13 students, which participated in this training opportunity. The snacks you provided every morning were delicious and very much appreciated.

This was a two-day course which covered a variety of topics such as: Intro to OSHA, Fatal Four Hazards (Fall Protection, Caught in or between, Electrical exposures, Struck-By hazards), Material Handling/Storage/Use, and Stairways/Ladders were all taught by me.
Two sections, Occupational Health Hazards & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), taught by Glenn Ingraham. One section on Heat Illness Prevention taught by Tom Jolliff. There was a total of ten hours of instruction time on the topic of hazards on construction sites.

The key to a successful safety programs is meaningful buy-in at all levels. This requires “selling safety” on a daily basis. This presentation was designed for company owners, supervisors and foremen who have ultimate responsibility for implementing safety programs.

On Wednesday, May 10, 2017, Rancho Mesa Insurance Services, Inc. hosted a Cyber Liability workshop presented by Di Weisinger from Philadelphia Insurance Companies at the San Diego Christian College campus in Santee, CA.
Di Weisinger explained to the attendees why business owners should be considered about cyber and privacy risks, legal and regulatory issues, and risk control and assessment tools.
As more and more companies are being affected by cyber crimes, it's becoming imperative to have insurance for this type of risk.

On Thursday, February 23, 2017, Rancho Mesa Insurance Services, Inc. hosted a Sexual Harassment Prevention Workshop on the campus of San Diego Christian College in Santee, CA.
The presenter, Jeremy Dwork from Meyers Fozi, discussed harassment prevention techniques, practical examples with an open discussion, and an overview of supervisor and company response requirements.

On Thursday, February 23, 2017, Rancho Mesa Insurance Services, Inc. hosted a Sexual Harassment Prevention Workshop on the campus of San Diego Christian College in Santee, CA.
The presenter, Jeremy Dwork from Meyers Fozi, discussed harassment prevention techniques, practical examples with an open discussion, and an overview of supervisor and company response requirements.
In California, AB 1825 requires employers with fifty or more employees to provide all employees with supervisory responsibilities with interactive training about sexual harassment prevention. The training is required every two years or within six months of someone being promoted into a supervisory role. In addition, AB 2053 now requires the training must now include discussion about abusive conduct prevention.
